(Infliximab)This medication is helpful in reducing the symptoms of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease by binding to a protein called tumor necrosis factor-alpha. (Vedolizumab)This medication treats gastrointestinal (GI) inflammation that occurs in adults with moderately to severely active Ulcerative Colitis and Chrohn's disease and maybe an option if other medications didn't work or couldn't be tolerated: including steroids, immunosuppressants, or biologic therapies. This infusion lasts no less than 30 minutes and will be infused at 0, 2, 6, and 8 weeks followed by an infusion every 8 weeks.
